Jesus took the child with him and flee to Egypt
THAT is the point in the liturgy celebrate today's feast of the Holy Family? It can not be sure only the memory of a family that has managed well, where many other families have failed. Today's liturgy invites us to ask: what is really a family? A question to be answered promptly. He criticizes the church over the next ten years devoted to education and society in the design of its future. Let us examine the texts that help us to get into an argument.
The passage of Ecclesiasticus (The Reading) reports a series of sentences that describe the fixed points of wisdom and life style of an environment in which children are encouraged to respect their parents and to welcome their advice. The letter to the Colossians (Reading II), trace a program of life: to live in harmony, was accepted in their differences, forgive each other's wrongs, seek to spread joy. The Gospel insists on the symbolic meaning of the Holy Family fleeing to Egypt, his return to Galilee, his settling in Nazareth is highlighted the role of St. Joseph, the head office of the family.
