TODAY IS THE SON OF GOD IS MADE MAN
What we have seen faintly in the dark of night, there now appears more clearly in the splendor of the day, when we understand what it means: "It is born to us a child, a son is given to us." Certainly Jesus was born to the delight of his parents and was born for fulfilling the promises made through David, the Jewish people, but it is directed above all "for us and for our salvation." This is the "mystery" that the Church celebrates.
Through His incarnation the Son of God became a victim for the purification of our sins, reconciliation with God and restoring peace between heaven and earth . But as well as purified and redeemed us, taking on our flesh and became one of us, so he has joined himself to communicate his divine life. In its flesh, which is also ours, we "gave power to become children of God." Listen about the words of Saint Irenaeus: "The Word of God placed his dwelling among the u-mini and became Son of man, to accustom man to understand God and to accustom God to put his house in accordance with the will of the Father."
